Kung Fu Lovers Change Casts, Wu Zun Given from Gillian Chung to Twins Charlene
Originally Wu Zun was going to be paired up with Gillian Chung for the upcoming new ancient drama movie “Kung Fu Lovers”, after the sex picture scandal, Gillian volunteered to quit the role, and now the latest rumours say the role will be replaced by Twins partner Ah Sa (Charlene) to pair with Wu Zun.
“Kung Fu Lovers” is looked upon as Hong Kong Meiah Film Co.’s big screen production, this ancient drama film will be under the lead of director Jingle Ma, even though the film includes “Butterfly Lovers”, but it’s actually a whole new young martial arts full of new ideas film, Wu Zun and Gillian are both popular idols, with this whole new collaboration, it attracts the younger eyes, but then the scandal incident happened at the same time.
This is a huge wave coming over, Ah Gil at the first moment had already volunteered to quit the role, this immediate decision made Meiah and Jingle Ma shocked since they’re left with little time to look for a new female lead, and at this time Ah Sa appeared.
Even though Ah Gil has a more gentle and female charming characteristic, and Ah Sa has a more sunshine lively cheerful image, but Jingle Ma is already satisfied, he says on the script he’ll be amending the character to make it more unique to Ah Sa.

i actually think they will make a cuter pairing than that of which wuzun will make with gillian. somehow wuzun looks best paired up against the cute types
I think many Wu Zun fans will be happy with this news because many of them did not want Wu Zun too be linked with Gillian because of her current bad image to young people.
I think either one of them would be doing good job, nonetheless, great to give Gilliam a break instead of keep pushing her to the forefront.
I think Charlene makes a better pairing with Wu Zun. They both have this cute and energetic look to them. And I think Gillian made good choice to pull out of the movie, better than accepting the role, and then receiving more criticism from fans and audience in the end.
Honestly to me both of the Twin girls are the same so no big deal but the fact that they were replacing Gillian cuz of some pictures was too much. Its not like Stars are innocent, we all kno what people thier age do for fun.
i think wu zun would be better off pareing off with ah sa. since ah gi right now is in this bad image nd it might not help with the drama ratings. nd ah gi is too girly to be paried with wu zun. wu zun is good with cute nd hyper girls like ah sa.cant wait till this drama comes out!
THe director have been thinking about Charlene for the past half a year, even before the scandal was out!!

LMFAO! Charlene have basically been confirmed for this movie since the news of this movie was even coming out. People in this article is acting like Charlene is getting Gillian leftover, when I highly doubt that is the case. Gillian was never mention for this movie until the scandal broke out (gee, and it’s from Mani mouth too… how trustworthy). I’m sure it’s the other way around. Charlene was suppose to be in the movie, but gave it to Gillian since she needed more, and Mani/EEG realized that the movie is probably going to get boycotted by everyone in Hong Kong, and hell, even Taiwan since Wu Zun fans are CLEARLY not happy. Thus… the role was given back to Charlene.
Agree I remember hearing news about Wu Zun, Charlene, and Nic Tse filming this movie a while ago. Never heard that Gill was filming this until recently
urgh i hate how they make it seem like char swooped in and took gill’s role or something…char was connected with this film for about a half a year before it was suddenly said that gill would have the role after the scandal occured
Buh I heard that this role belongs to charlene in the first place. Somehow it went change to gillian. I didn’t want gillian to be in this movie buh I feel kinda bad for her now. If it wasn’t for that scandal I would love to see her in the movie. Though I’m happy charlene got the part.

i think wuzun is better paired w/ ah sa… i think they make a better couple than ah gil.. besides w/ this scandal going on, i bet los of wuzun’s fan wouldnt agree to have their fav idol b paired w/ ah gil at all
So Okay, this is good news. Somehow they found a way to go on w/ the production w/ WuZun in it. I’m not actually a fan of Charlene but I think it’s better this way. They wouldnt have to cancel anything just switch actress.

i think that chun doesnt really go with ah sa… even tho i would ahve perfered ah sa with him to ah gil, was the female lead meant to be for ah sa in the first place?
this is kinda off but i wished it was danson paired w/ charlene.. but that would mean a completely new pairing. wu chun is awesome nonetheless
its good that wuzun is paired up with charlene instead of gill, i keep hearing that this role was originally charlene and somehow gill had it…..i think wuzun and charlene will make a cute couple….having gill in this movie will definitely affect the ratings

WAT? I wanted to see Gill in the movie!!! I probably not gonna watch it now, since Charlene is in it. I was kinda hoping Gill is the main female lead. I dont care if she is involve with the scandal. I still support her. It is not like she wants the pics to be exposed. Celebrities has their own personal lives too. Gosh. Maybe this movie can even bring her fame back up. This is so dumb. And this really sucks. But i really think she does need a break. Her disloyal ex-fans have been really hard on her…. I STILL SUPPORT YOU GILL!
Well according to many sources, the role was originally suppose to be Charlene’s actually, but then it was given to Gillian, and now it’s given back to Char, so I’m glad. I think Char would make a better match for Wu Zun than Gill anyway.
The movie was given to charlene in the beginning BUT with EEG doing their damage control they probably give it to gillian BUT i’m happy charlene is recast, i would have guess that Nic would be in the movie as well since Nic and Charlene got out with gillian was cast! Either way i’m going to watch the movie now if charlene is the female lead! The news makes it looks like Charlene wasn’t cast in the beginning!
This article makes it sound like Charlene is just there to take Gillian’s leftovers. But the article fails to mention that Charlene was the one who was originally supposed to be in the film. Gillian was never even mentioned until the Edison Chen sex scandal happened.
