Elegance
If simple elegance is more your style, then go for a softer look with this silk flower printed dress by TIBI (our very own local line originally from St. Simons). Select delicate jewelry, not too bold. We chose triple gold strands with peridot drops. Highlight green with neutrals
For a look to get you through the parade in comfort, we paired spring white jeans with an off-white jacket, allowing the jade green blouse to provide the pop of color. A rattan clutch works with the natural weave of the canvas jacket. Hair tip from Averil: A bit of styling gel to your roots adds a volume boost.
Signature piece: black jacket
This look is all about a favorite piece. Show them that you can be green, but add an emphasis with something dramatic. We took this striking geometric black and white Lucite necklace and pulled in a basic black jacket to match.
Rain or shine
March weather can be unpredictable, so remember to use layers to get you from morning to night. If showers are in the forecast, a fabulous raincoat can keep you dry. With a Kelly green overlay, why not balance with some navy blue and yellow?
For warm weather and sun, what could be finer than this light-as-air peacock print dress? It’s breezy and simple worn with a luxurious leather purse and espadrilles. Remember your SPF moisturizer and a simple gloss for some shine.
The greenest green
These days being environmentally friendly is all the rage. So we took the time to find a truly ‘green’ outfit from head to toe. The highlights are gold-dipped fern earrings from Zia and reused mixed metal necklace by Mary Millsaps. A green cotton jacket by Juicy, DVF white linen top worn with Organic Sevens equals a savvy look that will you let you brag, and all pieces are found here in Savannah. Avoid street-cart glam
Along with the good there must be some bad, so here are some ‘don’ts.’
Layering beads and buttons can take away from a fabulous look. So remember to tone down the glam, even if you’re feeling festive. A carefully planned outfit can turn tacky. We all have green in our closets; beware of layering too much at once.
