Britney Spears Opens Dance Studio in Los Angeles
Troubled singer Britney Spears is going back to her dancing roots - she’s reportedly planning to open her own studio.
Britney, who has been dubbed ‘Unfitney’ in the past, is all set to turn over a new leaf with the launch of her very own complex in Hollywood.
The singer, who has recently spent time in therapy, usually dances at the famed Millennium in LA. She practises her choreography for videos and even teaches youngsters there.
But now it seems Britney is to open her own studio as dancing is something that takes her away from all the stresses in her life.
According to PerezHilto, a source close to the star said: “It will be right near The Millennium, which is her favourite dance studio. She plans to call it The Basement.”

According to Robert Baker, director of Millennium, the role of teacher is one that suits Spears, who sees teaching as ‘refuge from the madness’.
He admitted: “She’s been a client for 10 years, and she loves dancing and she loves kids.
“She has been rehearsing in our facility for the last month and a half for her next video, and she said, ‘You know, I’d love to teach a class’.
“It ’s something she’s done sporadically over the last 10 years and the kids just loved it. She asked me to pick some kids for her to teach and she was warm and friendly.”
Fans of Britney will be happy to know that she’s getting her life back on track after what has been a ropey period for the performer.
Since her father Jamie took over her estate, there seems to have been a positive shift in her career.
Just this week it was announced that, in addition to giving Britney Û1500 a week to spend, Jamie is planning to sell or dispose of many of his daughters’ cars, which range from two white Mercedes, a white Mini Cooper convertible, and a black Audi.
Lawyers for Jamie Spears told the court that the cars were costing the estate too much money to maintain, and that getting rid of them would ’save substantial expense to the conservatorship estate’.
Jamie will maintain control of the estate until a hearing on July 31.
Meantime Br itney’s former manager Sam Lufti, who has a restraining order against him, has filed an official objectionto the Superior Court commissioner being allowed to oversee Britney’s conservatorship.
Michael Sands, the publicist for Britney’s former manager, told the Razz: “Sam did an outstanding job and participated in Britney’s intervention on January 31.
“LAPD mental health experts were there that night and they thought he did a star job helping in the intervention.
“Sam is really a good guy and the public perception is not appropriate. That is the bottom line.”
