Edison Chen sex scandal revealed: Now we’ve known that Gillian Chung left a message at Twins’ Fan Forum, but her fans doubted her language skills. Now netizens have a big discussion on this. Just read the following:
Her english is not REALLY THAT GOOD. Her english is not so good that it contains no flaws when she speaks oir writes in English. She studied university in Austraila thats how she was able to learn and practice her English.
Is that really from Gillian herself? I didn’t know her english is that good! Does she even speak English??
Yeah that is really her. She left it on the official Twins website in HK. She also left another one before she went to China.
wow i didnt really think she can type in english that well either…maybe someone else did it for her….and lucky for edison still having a certian role in movies
I believe Gillian is from oversea so her English should be good.

I think it’s most probably not her. How can she still have the mood to write for her fans. plus, from the words (slangs) term she used, I dont think she know it anyway. Most probably it’s just someone else or it’s just someone from her company.
Why wouldn’t she know internet slangs? She’s our age, growing up with the Internet…what makes you think celebrities don’t use Internet and blogs? A lot of them have blogs…
She went to uni in Australia when she was in her teens, so I don’t think she has any probs typing in english.
yeah like the above said. she did study in RMIT Australia, although i think she didnt finish her study. but still, just because she is an artist that doesnt mean she cant speak the internet language…

The public dont need to know about another’s private life or their naughty side… i mean there are ppl out there who are bad too, but we just dont see it b/c no evidence shown…
Umm…she went to school in Australia for a few years. Even if she didn’t go there, it’s really not that hard to learn/know internet “slang”….
wow.. this is the first time i’ve seen gillian giving a mssg in english… of course, i’m not a twins’ fan, but everytime i seen them, is always in chinese language.. never thought that they will do anything in english..

Thats kind of Gill leaving a msg for the fans. Also good to hear Edison praised for his acting in Dark Knight. Maybe see him in Batman 3 aswell.
Good Edison he’s going to be a Hollywood star but hope he does not bring his CLOT over to US cause its going to be like Bape fakes everywhere in the streets

wow, i’m a bit surprised at how good gillian’s english is too! i never knew she was that fluent with internet slang i guess sometimes it’s hard to imagine that celebrities are normal people just like us! it’s nice that she wrote to her fans, and i hope she’ll stay strong and have plenty of support during this time. hope charlene is doing well too. nobody deserves to have their private lives exposed to the world in the way this scandal has, and hopefully, people can forget about it soon and just move on.
the news and pic of ella are a bit ridiculous. people are now just looking for dirt to dig up by twisting innocent matters into negative ones.
however, the news about edison doesn’t surprise me. i’ve been confident all along that he would still succeed in showbiz in some way or form. good to see him breaking into the hollywood scene. this supports my belief that edison’s career will emerge from this scandal with much less impact than it has unfortunately made on gillian’s.

i’m very surprised her english is that good too, i mean even if she did study at an Australian uni, i have a freind who’s been lving in the UK and learnt english for much longer than just a university course……..and his english is quite flawed. So if Gillian only learnt it during that time in Australia for a few years, i really don’t think she can pick it up that fast. All the native HK’ers i know have lived/study abroad here in UK boarding schools since early teens and their english has reached an understandable level. Gill must have been educated in English really well and at an early age to be able to write that…. imo
First off I don’t think that’s the real Gillian. I remember watching a video where she was speaking English and let’s just say that her English left much to be desired.
just becuz she cant speak it well, doesnt mean that gillian doesnt know how to type or spell stuff. i mean she went to university.
She’s got better things to do - let’s face it, its whoever looks after her website and forum, probably been asked to leave a few words for her fans. So what - thats what all celebs do.
Get a life jerks!! You deny everything positive related to Gillian! She’s not studpid! She was able to talk with Adrien Brody, she held the speech at the MTV Asia Awards! She CAN speak English! So stop dissing her abilities!
Actually, a lot of people in hong kong can write english quite a bit better than they speak.
I agree. Sometimes, speaking is harder than writing so I don’t doubt that Gillian can actually write (in this case, type) better than when she speaks. Also, with typing, she actually have time to think about the words she wants to use/say so it’s alot easier than speaking on the spot.

the press called her company to ask and they said that its fake, she didnt leave any messages on the forums.

yes, that is gillian. she’s left 2 msgs before, one after twins won tvb’s asia female and one before she went to beijing. i think writing in slag is actually easier than writing in full english.

But Ella was never as popular as Twins so I doubt she’ll be as heavily affected.

What? Is that even her? I mean look at her english. I don’t want offend anyone by saying she’s crap at english. But the way i see it, the english seems to be written by someone that’s fluent in english and don’t think she is fluent in english. And also why the hell would write in a fan-forum? If she really wanted her fans and stuff to read about her thoughts then she would go to her official website and write her thoughts there. I feel it’s a total fake. Just a fan pretending to be her and making a better reputation.
