The Stooges may have got their weirdest gig yet – inaugurating Madonna into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday night.
The truly groundbreaking Iggy Pop led gang aren’t in the Hall Of Fame themselves, so it seems Madonna has invited them to play in her place at the ceremony in New York.
Some reports have the Stooges doing a selection of Madonna’s songs, with the Material Girl herself refusing to perform, although she will attend the event.
In more fitting fashion Madge will be officially welcomed into the Jann Wenner’s famous hall by the trousersnake himself, Justin Timberlake.
